To All CMNC Supporters:

I am overjoyed and delighted to announce exciting new developments regarding the Movie Captioning issues, and the Human Rights Tribunal legal case with the Movie Theatres.

The CMNC is thrilled to have played a role in the achievement of making movie theatres accessible to the Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing.

A favourable negotiated agreement between the three complainants, and the Movie Theatre Industry has been reached benefiting our Deaf, deafened, and hard of hearing community. We regard this as a win-win situation for all involved, including the Movie Industry.

I would like to personally thank Scott Simser, Gary Malkowski, and Nancy Barker for having the courage and conviction, to instigate the legal proceedings resulting in a precedent setting decision in the movie industry here in Ontario.

I would also at this time like to thank YOU ! …all the supporters of CMNC who have written letters of support and encouragement, donated funds, and volunteered your time to assist us in our common goal. In particular, ONESTOP Media who have provided invaluable assistance and expertise to CMNC.

We appreciate all our supporters, and it is continually inspiring to know that when we work together as a team we can accomplish great results.
